September Program
Chris Boswell, Museum Director, of the Gen. Carl Spaatz National US Army Air Force Museum in Boyertown will be our guest speaker for our September program. Our program meeting will be held Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 pm in the museum.
Chris Boswell of Boyertown, is a living history exhibitor/speaker and collector of WWII, Korea, Vietnam & Cold War memorabilia. He has served as a coordinator for the PA Chapter 8th Air Force Historical Society, and is a member of the Greater PA Military Vehicle Historical Society. Chris can be seen driving around Boyertown in his 1942 Willys MB Jeep, and has also portrayed “Gen Spaatz” at several living history events.
Chris will teach us about our Boyertown native Carl Spaatz who rose to become a four-star general during World War II. Not as well-known as other prominent generals, Spaatz is credited by most Air Force historians as the one most responsible for winning the air war during the war.
He will also explain about the museum dedicated to Carl Spaatz and those who served in WWII. Program is free to members, $5 donation fee for non-members.
