Our November Program meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 7:00 pm at the society building. Our presentation will be given by Alex Moyer, great grandson of Amandus D Moyer. Who is Amandus D Moyer? He was the founder of a business back in 1939 by buying a rollercoaster, taking it apart and selling the lumber. This business grew to what locals know as A. D. Moyer Lumber and Hardware Inc.
I am sure many of you have been in the lumber and hardware store in Gilberstville. Since Amandus started selling from his garage at the same address of the current store, a lot has changed.
Join us as we meet his great-grandson who will explain how it all evolved!
Program is free for members and $5 for non-members.
