October Program Meeting

The society’s own, Luann Zambanini will present our October program at the society. This program comes with a warning, it may contain disturbing pictures for some. The whole program may be disturbing for some folks, but it’s really an interesting one! It’s about Stoneman Willie. Never heard of him? Well, come on down and you’ll learn a lot. Luann will talk about embalming and other interesting things you don’t hear every day. Stoneman Willie was brought to Luann’s attention and the more she learned about him, the more she wanted to learn about him. Attend and you too can learn the story of a pick pocket from 1895 who called a funeral parlor in Reading his home for 128 years. Well, he was dead, he didn’t call it anything. He moved a few times during the 128 years, but he didn’t need to bother to forward his mail. Men dead for 128 years don’t get mail. Learn about embalming and see pictures of Stoneman Willie.
