Join the Historical Society in a panel discussion about the Boyertown Casket Factory.

Our May 4th Program Meeting is one that everyone is dying to see! As most of you are aware, Boyertown was once the home of the Boyertown Casket Company which was established in 1893 and was in operations until 1988. The Casket Company was started because many times funerals had to be postponed because of trouble getting caskets. The need for a casket factory was the reason for its creation. The casket company had showrooms all over the United States and at its close in 1988 it was producing 60,000 caskets a year. For our program we’re getting together folks who have memories of the casket company and plan to have a panel discussion to share people’s memories of the Boyertown Casket Company. Please come and share any memories you may have or listen to the memories of others. Do you know someone who worked at the casket company? If so, please ask them to join us for what I’m sure will be a most interesting program. We have some information to share on some interesting folks who were buried in Boyertown Caskets including Harry Houdini, and more!
